Before affect can work, regulation has to be there first.
Affect only lands when a child is regulated enough to take it in. If the child isn't regulated, none of this works yet, because they're not in a state to connect or engage.
If you haven't taken Understanding Regulation yet, that's where to start. It's the foundation everything else in this course builds on.
